If you’re ready to venture off the farm for the day, you’ll have access to adventure, inspiration and relaxation of all kinds just down the road a piece.
If Adventure is what you seek, we offer a variety of outdoor activities year-round. Just minutes away are cave tours and seasonal horseback riding, biking, and hiking. Mammoth Cave National Park, an International Biosphere and the world’s longest underground cave system is our grand neighbor. Hidden River Cave, Diamond Caverns, Kentucky Cavern, and Cub Run Cave are also quite unique and beautiful, with Lost River Cave being Kentucky’s only underground boat tour. Above ground, whether kayaking and canoeing down the Green River or boating, fishing, and swimming in Nolin Lake, water-loving guests will have plenty of satisfaction. And coming soon to our area is great camping at Dog Creek on Nolin River.
touring Historic Sites and Civil War Battlefields - intriguing highlights in our local history - including such famous and infamous characters as Abraham Lincoln, Daniel Boone, John Hunt Morgan and Jesse James to name a few. Visit Kentucky Stonehenge, The Munfordville Welcome Center, The Munfordville Historical Society or the Woodson House to learn our exciting past and present as we preserve for the future. Take an afternoon to walk the Historic Scenic Walking Tour through town or head down into Thelma Stovall Park for outdoor sports or picnics.
Take in the arts or shop the handiwork of local artisans in treasure-filled antique shops and gift boutiques to delight discerning shoppers. Amish-owned businesses in the area will send visitors happily home with goods of handmade furniture, crafts, foods, and delicious sweets. The performing arts have a shining star in Hart County’s own nationally-renowned Kentucky Repertory Theatre. And family theme parks as varied as Kentucky Down Under, Dinosaur World, Kentucky Action Park and Splash Lagoon, and Beech Bend Amusement Park ignite laughter and learning for folks of all ages.
Louisville, Bowling Green, & Lexington, Kentucky and Nashville, Tennessee are only one to two hours away. Urban thoroughfares, these cities boast excitement and countless sites, museums, and music venues to enjoy. Choose to travel one of the many scenic country roads like Route 728, Route 88, Hwy 31W or Hwy 31E surrounding our farm stay, and then take I-65 home again.
